Antenna on Digital TV
If you already own a digital television, all you need is an antenna to access free over-the-air broadcasts in digital programming. How to determine if your television set can receive digital broadcasts? Simply ask the TV manufacturer, or look on the TV for notice of an ATSC tuner.
Cable Television
There is no need to worry if you subscribe to a cable service. You will not be affected by the transition to digital television, except that you will continue to receive quality broadcasts.
Satellite Television
If you subscribe to a satellite service provider, you already are receiving your programs in digital. You do not need to make any changes unless you still access some local channels over-the-air. If that is the case, you may need to purchase a set-top converter box and antenna, if your satellite provider does not offer local channels.
